As I write this I am currently sitting on a bus traveling from Washington DC to New York! What struck up was the way we walk and sit, whether in taxis, buses, cars, planes or trains. Also, witnessing mayhem at Union Station and how people unconsciously haul and lift their luggage and carry items. Further more, seeing how people are sleeping on buses and planes. It is immensely difficult to acquire the perfect sitting or sleeping position when crammed on a flight or bus, granted. However one should certainly protect their spines, necks and pelvis and it is also critical to mention lymphatic and vascular system. The risk of clots or vascular damage is becoming more regular and more frequent. Movement and ankle swirls are crucial to keep circulation from stagnating. The use of special sports stockings and calf sleeves is highly popular and far more comfortable than the old fashioned heavy ugly stockings that caused more discomfort. Neck stretches and glute stretches are also recommended. When one departs from traveling (whatever type it may be), and has collected their luggage (with correct posture to protect their backs), the walking will inherently loosen up the tight limbs. However a quick stretch of the hamstrings, neck, arms, quads and glutes whilst waiting on the train, subway, or taxi, is easily possible. Additionally (if possible) a hot shower or hot bath can eliminate toxins that have built up after the long travel. Once you hit the fashion shops, or shows, continuing the quick stretch routine is advised! Travel safe! Enjoy the sights! And protect your body!
