Kimberly Sammaritano

Rev. Dr – CranioSacral Therapist, Eating Psychology Coach, Holistic Life Counselor, Heart Math Interventions Practitioner, Live Blood Analysis Practitioner.

QUALIFICATION:

  • M-tech (UJ), MMSc (UOM), Ph.D (UOS)

I have been practicing as an Alternative Health practitioner since 2000 and I have over 20 years of experience in a wide variety of modalities including Therapeutic Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Therapeutic Massage, CranioSacral Therapy, Live and Dry Blood Analysis, DNAlysis, and Metaphysical Counseling. I hold a Masters’s Degree from The University of Johannesburg, in the field of Alternative Health research, a Masters’s Degree in Metaphysical Science, from the University of Metaphysics, and a Ph.D. in Holistic Life Counseling from The University of Sedona.

Having lived through several traumas, and working with my own autoimmune issues, I felt inspired to look deeper into the immune system, and the link between trauma, the gut microbiome and immunity, and mental health. This led me to study Eating Psychology Coaching and Heart Math – Heart Rate Variability and Coherence Techniques. The skills I use from this training are a combination of practical coaching techniques, results-oriented psychology, body-centered practices, mind-body science, and a positive and compassionate approach to challenges with food and health. Live and dry blood analysis, and DNAlysis complement this holistic approach, as it provides deeper insight into the patient’s challenges, and a scientific base for lifestyle changes to optimise my patient’s health and wellbeing.

I have since studied Metaphysics, which has broadened my perspective in all areas of Life. I am passionate about helping people fulfill their potential by working through the blocks and false belief systems that are holding them back in life. We all know that our state of mind and what we think manifests into physical form, for example, mental stress and overwhelm can manifest as a stomach ulcer. Metaphysics answers the “mind-creates-matter” questions, and I have enjoyed using live blood analysis to prove how a change of mindset and self-forgiveness causes a shift that is seen in the blood within an hour. Metaphysical Counseling assists my patients in understanding the purpose of life and empowers them to make better choices.

BENEFITS OF CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system – comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.

Using a very light touch, the practitioner releases restrictions in the craniosacral system, to assist the body in the normalization of function. This technique is effective in assisting the body’s self-healing mechanism and is also great to use as a preventative measure.

This technique was developed by Dr. John Upledger, an Osteopathic Physician. For more information, please visit www.upledger.com  the official Upledger Institute website.

What conditions does CranioSacral Therapy address?

  • Concussion and Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Migraines and Headaches
  • Chronic Neck and Back Pain
  • Autism
  • Stress and Tension-Related Disorders
  • Motor-Coordination Impairments
  • Infant and Childhood Disorders
  • Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Fibromyalgia
  • TMJ Syndrome
  • Scoliosis
  • Central Nervous System Disorders
  • Learning Disabilities
  • ADD/ADHD
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Orthopedic Problems
  • And Many Other Conditions

EATING PSYCHOLOGY COACHING

Eating Psychology Coaching is an exciting and cutting edge approach developed by the Institute for the Psychology of Eating. It effectively addresses weight concerns, binge eating, overeating, body image challenges, and various nutrition-related health concerns. As an Eating Psychology Coach, my approach is positive and empowering. I don’t see your eating challenges merely as a sign that “something is wrong with you” – but as a place where we can more fully explore some of the personal dimensions in life that impact food, weight, and health. Oftentimes, our eating challenges are connected to work, money, relationship, family, intimacy, life stress and so much more. By working on the places that are most relevant for you, success is more easily achieved. As an Eating Psychology Coach, I look to support you with coaching strategies and nutrition principles that are nourishing, doable, sustainable, and that yield results.

LIVE BLOOD ANALYSIS

Live blood analysis gives the practitioner a glimpse of the internal environment, referred to as the terrain of the patient’s body. It shows how the patient’s lifestyle has impacted their health. It also provides a measurement tool, to compare over time, how the patient’s internal terrain is changing. Live blood analysis is a helpful tool in identifying underlying weaknesses, imbalances, and nutritional deficiencies that can lead to chronic health conditions. This technique is not a diagnostic procedure for any specific disease. This tool allows for nutritional and lifestyle changes to be made, which may assist in the prevention of chronic and degenerative conditions.

The analysis requires a drop of blood taken from the patient’s finger, which is analyzed under high magnification using a specialized microscope. Various blood morphologies and abnormalities can be identified. These insights allow for a deeper understanding of the client’s state of health

Dry blood analysis is used in conjunction with live blood analysis. For this test, a single drop of blood is pressed onto a slide in eight consecutive layers, and allowed to dry. This technique uncovers valuable clues to potential degenerative patterns. The oxidation of the blood and toxins present create characteristic patterns, which allow for identification of the organs holding toxins, which are under stress to be identified.

HOLISTIC LIFE COUNSELING

This is a talk-based therapy that involves identifying and unpacking belief systems from childhood that no longer serve us, and tend to keep us stuck in a self-defeating loop or pattern. We work through the mental blocks preventing us from moving forward. The therapy involves goal setting and creating structures for moving forward with clarity and purpose. Metaphysical techniques for healing and self-regulation are explored.

HEART MATH – HEART RATE VARIABILITY AND HEART COHERENCE

Heart rate variability is a measure of the beat-to-beat changes in heart rate. This involves the two branches of the autonomic nervous system (ANS). The first branch is the sympathetic branch, which increases the heart rate as we inhale, and is responsible for the fight, flight, and freeze responses to stress.  The second branch is the parasympathetic branch which is controlled by the vagus nerve, which allows the heart rate to decrease, and for relaxation and coherence to occur.  According to the HeartMath institute “An optimal level of HRV within an organism reflects healthy function and an inherent self-regulatory capacity, adaptability, and resilience. While too much instability, such as arrhythmias or nervous system chaos, is detrimental to efficient physiological functioning and energy utilization, too little variation indicates age-related system depletion, chronic stress, pathology or inadequate functioning in various levels of self-regulatory control systems. In general, emotional stress—including emotions such as anger, frustration, and anxiety—gives rise to heart rhythm patterns that appear irregular and erratic: the HRV waveform looks like a series of uneven, jagged peaks. Scientists call this an incoherent heart rhythm pattern. In contrast, positive emotions send a very different signal throughout our bodies. When we experience uplifting emotions such as appreciation, joy, care, and love; our heart rhythm pattern becomes highly ordered, looking like a smooth, harmonious wave. This is called a coherent heart rhythm pattern.” Being in a state of high coherence allows for parasympathetic nervous system dominance. This means that the body is relaxed, alert, and high functioning, without energy, drains. It is where healing and intuition reside. The body cannot heal from inflammatory processes while in fight-flight-freeze mode. It allows for optimal performance, mentally, emotionally, and physically, and greatly improves our communication ability and decision-making processes.

Using HeartMath emWave Pro PLUS technology, HRV and coherence are measured.  Breathing exercises and specific HeartMath coherence-building techniques are used to increase coherence and HRV in the session, and techniques are taught for self-regulation.
